Cancer runs thick through my family, so does pregnancy. My husband and I weren’t looking for a little one just yet so I was nervous when I was late. Usually I’m on the dot at the 8th-10th of each month, but by the 19th i was having “period symptoms” such as munchies, acne, cramps, and mood swings. but I wasn’t bleeding. Thinking the obvious cause was pregnancy I took two at home test, both negative. My last period was late a few days just before a big move, and I again tested negative on that pregnancy test. I am starting to worry about cervical cancer because I had brown discharge for a few days, but that is not gone.
Doc’s replay. Hello KC. Thank you for sharing this experience with us and the community of women that visit this site. A missed period and a negative pregnancy test can definitely be terrifying. I would suggest you see your health care provider for cervical cancer screening. If you have that concern, please follow up to the end to ensure you are properly tested. Remember to have your pap smears done as suggested by your primary doctor.
